NOTA D’USO

to study o to learn?I verbi to study e to learn possono essere tradotti con “studiare”, ma possiedono delle sfumature diverse di significato. Quando si utilizza to study, si pone l’enfasi sull’atto dello studio, mentre quando si usa to learn, si pone più attenzione al risultato, cioè all’apprendimento: He’s studying at the University of London, studia alla University of London (non He’s learning at the University of London); I’m thinking of learning Chinese, sto pensando di studiare il cinese (per impararlo)
